Welcome to Alcoholics Anonymous in San Luis Obispo County. We understand someone new to our
program might have some questions and we will try to answer them here.
If drinking has become a problem in your life and you want to stop, you can, and we can help. Our Central
Office phone number is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and someone will always be there to help you find
a meeting or someone to help you get to a meeting.
Our MEETING DIRECTORY is updated constantly and there are meetings in all areas of our county.
Below is a key to some of the questions you might have regarding the directory:
C - closed: open to those with alcohol problems only
CC - child care is available
M - men only
W - women only
WC - wheelchair access
SP - spanish speaking (espanola)
CH - meeting is at a church ( not affiliated with the church)
LA - limited access
LGBT - lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender
All meetings are open unless otherwise specified and all meetings are 90 minutes unless otherwise specified.
If you are not sure if you are an alcoholic, it's o.k. to come to a meeting anyway, ask questions, show up a
few minutes early and introduce yourself to anyone, they will help you feel comfortable and will be willing to
answer your questions.
